Chassis Labels in Heavy Machinery and Body-Building Manufacturing - Metal & Stainless Steel Label Manufacturing Balıkesir

For manufacturers of heavy machinery, trailers and vehicle bodies, the chassis label isn't just an information plate — it's the vehicle's or machine's legal identity. An illegible chassis number plate can cause serious problems ranging from registration to insurance processes.

Information Required on a Chassis Label

  • Chassis/serial number
  • Manufacturer's name and year of manufacture
  • Maximum loaded weight and axle load information
  • Model and type description
  • CE mark or relevant conformity mark, if applicable

Why Isn't a Standard Label Sufficient?

Heavy machinery and heavy vehicles operate in conditions exposed to dust, mud, high-pressure washing and constant vibration. The chassis number must remain legible throughout the vehicle's service life (typically 15-20 years). That's why the sector prefers stainless steel or aluminum plates produced with acid etching or laser engraving; painted or adhesive labels fall short of meeting this timeframe.

A Series Production Solution for Body and Trailer Manufacturers

Fixed information (company logo, technical template) is prepared in advance for bulk production; the chassis number, which is unique to each vehicle, is processed instantly on the production line with a sequential numbering press or fiber laser. This system lets body manufacturers supply hundreds of differently numbered plates accurately and quickly, matching their daily production volume.

Mounting Standard

Chassis plates are typically fixed to the vehicle body with rivets; this makes the plate harder to remove or replace, also reducing the risk of tampering. We also offer optional tamper-proof/security rivet application on request.

How Is Numbering Error Prevented in Bulk Production?

When printing hundreds of different serial numbers, the risk of error increases. To reduce this risk, we digitally check your number list before production. We verify there are no duplicate or missing numbers before printing.

Thanks to this pre-check, returns due to number errors after delivery are almost never seen.

If you're a series-manufacturing body or heavy machinery builder, you can send us your existing template through our contact page to get a bulk production quote.
