Industrial & Metal Label Guide
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to your questions about our manufacturing techniques, 30-year indelibility guarantee, and 316L stainless steel & anodized aluminum quality.
Acid Etching & Indelibility Guarantee (1-10)

1. Do stainless steel labels really stay legible for 30 years?
Yes! In our acid etching (chemical engraving) technique applied to 304 and 316L grade stainless steels, the text is engraved deep into the metal. Even if the surface epoxy paint wears away over the years, the engraved recesses mean the label NEVER loses legibility for 30 years.
2. How deep is the acid etching engraving, in millimeters?
Our acid baths apply precise micro-etching to the metal surface, typically between 0.15 mm and 0.30 mm deep. This depth is ideal for paint adhesion and protection against mechanical wear.
3. Do thinner, gasoline and strong solvents remove the paint?
No. The paint filled into the recesses is a special oven-baked, epoxy-based industrial paint. It absolutely does not peel or dissolve when washed with thinner, gasoline, diesel or harsh chemical solvents.
4. What is the key difference between acid-etched labels and screen-printed labels?
Screen printing applies ink onto the metal surface (which can wear off with friction over time). Acid etching engraves the metal itself; even if the paint wears away, the engraved recesses remain legible for 30 years.
5. Does seawater and a salty atmosphere corrode 316L stainless steel labels?
No. Molybdenum-alloy 316L stainless steel is 100% resistant to corrosion and salt exposure in marine and offshore environments.
6. Does outdoor sunlight and UV radiation fade the text?
Our oven-baked epoxy paints contain UV-filtering pigments. They resist color fading for 30 years.
7. Can our company logo and graphics be printed on an acid-etched label?
Yes. Your company logo, graphic patterns, warning icons and technical details are engraved into the metal with vector-level precision through acid etching.
8. Are these labels used on high-temperature boilers and furnaces?
Stainless steel withstands temperatures up to 800°C. It is used without issue on heavy industrial furnaces and reactors.
9. Do you offer an unconditional return and test guarantee on your labels?
Yes. All the acid-etched stainless steel labels we manufacture come with an indelibility, scratch and solvent test guarantee.
10. Can serial numbers and fixed technical data be engraved together?
Yes. While your fixed template data is acid-etched, serial numbers and variable fields can be added using a numbering press or laser engraving.
Anodized Aluminum & Control Panel Labels (11-20)

11. What is an anodized aluminum label?
It is an aluminum sheet coated with a corrosion-resistant protective oxide layer through an anodizing bath, with color processed into its pores.
12. Where are control panel labels used?
They are preferred for cockpit panels, aviation consoles, cabin buttons on industrial machinery, military vehicles and medical device control panels.
13. Are control panel labels resistant to continuous finger contact?
Yes. The protective clear lexan or anodized surface layer is unaffected by finger oils, sweat and friction.
14. Is colored logo and printing possible on aluminum labels?
Thanks to special dyes processed into the anodized pores, vivid colors like red, blue, black and green stay fade-free for years.
15. Do you manufacture control panel labels compliant with defense industry and MIL-STD standards?
Yes. We manufacture to the defense standards, vibration and temperature testing requirements of companies such as Aselsan and aviation firms.
16. Does aluminum label rust?
Aluminum falls into the non-rusting metal category. The anodized coating prevents oxidation.
17. Can a QR code be laser engraved onto an aluminum label?
Yes. Our fiber laser machines engrave readable QR codes and barcodes with 0.01 mm precision.
18. Can transparent button windows be created on control panel labels?
Transparent windows and embossed buttons in any dimension can be produced for indicator screens and LED lights.
19. Does flexible aluminum label adhere to curved surfaces?
0.5 mm and 0.8 mm thin aluminum labels conform perfectly to curved pipes and cylindrical surfaces.
20. Is aluminum label cost-effective?
Thanks to its light weight and suitability for mass production, it is the most economical metal label solution for high-quantity orders.
Chrome & Printed Metal Labels (21-30)

21. What makes chrome labels special?
They offer a mirror-polished, 3D luxury embossed appearance, providing prestige for automotive emblems and premium consumer products.
22. Are chrome labels resistant to washing and outdoor weather conditions?
Yes, thanks to electrolytic nickel-chrome plating, they resist pressure car washing, rain and sun exposure.
23. Where are printed metal labels used?
They are preferred for indoor electrical panels, asset tags and device housings not exposed to direct sunlight or acid.
24. What is baked varnished sheet metal?
It is a durable label type produced by applying a clear protective varnish over printed metal sheet and baking it at high temperature.
25. Is there adhesive tape on the back of chrome labels?
All our chrome labels come with installation-ready, high-strength industrial 3M double-sided tape on the back.
26. Are chrome labels made for furniture and luxury kitchen appliances?
Yes. We produce custom-designed luxury chrome emblems for furniture brands and white goods manufacturers.
27. Can printed metal labels include multi-color graphics?
Images, photographs, colored logos and detailed graphic artwork are applied using the baked printing method.
28. What is the minimum production quantity for chrome labels?
Since chrome labels involve tooling costs, unit prices become very economical for orders of 100 pieces and above.
29. Do you offer a brass (yellow) chrome label option?
Yes. We offer both golden brass and bright silver chrome plating options.
30. Does varnished printed metal label rust?
It does not rust if the base material is aluminum or stainless steel.

Dimensions, Drawing & Technical Specifications (31-40)

31. What thickness options do you offer?
We keep raw sheet stock in 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm and 3.0 mm thicknesses.
32. Do you cut labels to custom sizes or shapes?
Yes. Our CNC and fiber laser cutting machines cut circular, oval, curved or complex geometric shapes.
33. Can screw and rivet holes be drilled into labels?
Corner and edge rivet holes are drilled at any diameter you require (e.g. 3mm, 4mm, 5mm).
34. How strong is the 3M double-sided adhesive tape you use?
The industrial 3M VHB tape we use has high bonding strength capable of bonding metal to metal, and holds in both hot and cold conditions.
35. I don't have a drawing or graphic file — can you help?
